Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Walking Tour Guide to lead guided tours of some of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks, including the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Basilica Cistern. As a tour guide, you will provide an engaging and educational experience for our European clients, sharing fascinating history, architecture, and cultural insights about these historic sites. The role offers flexible hours, with the potential to transition into a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

Lead walking tours of the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Basilica Cistern, providing in-depth historical and cultural commentary.
Engage with customers, answering their questions, and ensuring they enjoy a memorable experience.
Share captivating stories and information about Istanbul’s rich history, architecture, and cultural heritage.
Ensure that guests are comfortable, safe, and have a positive experience throughout the tour.
Maintain punctuality and adhere to the scheduled tour times.
Offer flexible and personalized tours to accommodate the needs and interests of guests.
Manage small groups, keeping them organized and ensuring everyone stays together throughout the tour.
Requirements:

Fluent in English with excellent public speaking skills and the ability to captivate a group of tourists.
Passionate about Istanbul’s history and culture, with a deep understanding of the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Basilica Cistern.
Strong communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to engage and entertain European visitors, making history come alive in an accessible and enjoyable way.
Willingness to work part-time with a flexible schedule and the potential to transition to full-time as demand grows.
Previous experience as a tour guide is preferred but not required.
Ability to work independently, while being adaptable to different group dynamics.
Knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in public speaking or guiding tours in Istanbul.
Familiarity with European cultures and the ability to connect with guests from different countries.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 250.00TRY – 350.00TRY per hour
